About Guest:
The session featured by Adv. Khushnuma Khan, She is empaneled as an arbitrator with AECCI-IAC, With over 30 years of legal expertise, and a seasoned litigator and a highly regarded arbitrator with extensive experience in commercial arbitration, corporate law, insolvency, and banking disputes. She has represented high-profile clients across various judicial and arbitral forums, including the Bombay High Court, NCLT, DRT, and the Supreme Court of India. Adv. Khushnuma Khan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London, and an empaneled arbitrator with multiple international dispute resolution institutions, including the Geneva International Dispute Resolution Institute (GIDI) and the Standing Committee of Public Sector Enterprises (SCOPE). Also highlighted the need for clear, precisely drafted contracts to bridge cultural, lingustic and legal differences and emphasized the role of model arbitration clauses and venues, in mitigating risks. About Guest:
The session featured by Dr. Anup Wadhawan, Former Secretary Government of India and arbitrator with extensive experience in trade policy and economic governance. He also served in key roles at the Department of Commerce, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Department of Financial Services, Department of Economic Affairs, and the Prime Minister's Office. He has served as an Executive Magistrate and has vast expertise in arbitration, conciliation, and commercial dispute resolution. Currently, he is empaneled as a member of the arbitration panel for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), serves as a Sole Arbitrator for the Government of Uttarakhand, and has contributed to dispute resolution in multiple PSU contractual matters and he is on the board of various companies in the insurance, finance, and NGO sectors. His deep expertise in trade and finance, banking, insurance, capital markets, power sector, urban development, and public policy administration. He is also empaneled with AECCI- International Arbitration Centre.

H gave a detailed elaborated on the need for clear contractual clauses allowing for consolidation of claims and the parties should be take utmost care for that. He explained on the flexibility of arbitration, allowing amendments to claims, through mutual consent of parties, an arbitrator's decision, or a proper court order.
